Central Bank of Savings Banks Finland Plc has published interim report for 1 January - 30 June 2015

"At the beginning of 2015 the Central Bank of Savings Banks Finland Plc continued strong growth. In order to improve competitiveness of the Savings Banks Group the international refinance channels were opened during the spring 2015. At the beginning of April SB Central Bank issued successfully an inaugural 5-year EUR 500 million unsecured senior bond. According to CEO of SB Central Bank Hannu Lanteri, the international credit rating given by Standard & Poor's Rating Services (S&P) alongside with the establishment of the first Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme, which was listed in the Irish Stock Exchange, enabled the emission. The development of the central credit institution services continues and services provided to the Savings Banks Amalgamation will be widened e.g in the case of payment card services during the end of the year, Lanteri continues.

As a result of the strong development phase of the business profit before tax remained as predicted slightly unprofitable, SB Central Bank showing a loss EUR 233 thousand and doubling the total assets to a total value of EUR 1 427 million."
